GÜNSEL Academy, operating within the body of GÜNSEL, the electric car of the Mediterranean, has trained the young people who will establish the future of the automotive industry through the internship and training program “My Job Is in My Hands” and gave its first graduates. 24 graduates of vocational high schools received scholarships from the Near East University and recruitment priority at GÜNSEL. Within the scope of the project, which aims to increase youth employment by transforming the country’s youth into well-equipped and professional individuals, 24 students, consisting of senior students from Sedat Simavi Vocational High School, Osman Örek Vocational High School and Haydarpaşa Commercial High School, completed the eight-month training and internship program and graduated. Students who successfully completed the project process received the “GÜNSEL Academy Specialization Certificate”, and were also entitled to a scholarship from the Near East University and a job opportunity at GÜNSEL. The “My Job is in My Hands” project includes all students who study at vocational high schools in the TRNC and who want to establish a future in their own country. What is the “My Job is in my hands” project? “GÜNSEL Academy Specialization Certificate” is conferred upon to students who participate in the project and successfully complete the program. All students who receive this document are entitled to a 100% scholarship if they start their education at the relevant vocational schools of Near East University. In addition, all students are supported with a monthly internship allowance. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel: “We are proud of providing new job fields and employment opportunities to the youth of our country.” Stating that the vocational high school students who successfully completed the “My Profession is in My Hands” training and internship program, Prof. Dr. Günsel said they also were granted a 100 percent education scholarship from the Near East University in their field. In September 2021, the project “My Profession is in My Hands” was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Near East Enterprises Prof. Dr.İrfan Suat Günsel and Minister of National Education and Culture Olgun Amcaoğlu and entered into force, and gave its first graduates.
With the “My Job is in My Hand” project initiated by the GÜNSEL Academy operating within the body of GÜNSEL, those who are studying in the departments of Mechanical Technology, Metal Technology, Motor Vehicles Technology, Information Technologies, Electrical Electronics, Installation Technology and Air Conditioning and Auto Electricity of vocational high schools in the TRNC and who want to gain experience scholarship, internship and job opportunities are provided.
